Ambiente molto pulito, ordinato e tranquillo. Posizione ottimale sia per la spiaggia a soli 5min a piedi, sia per I servizi. La fermata dell'autobus a pochi metri permette facili spostamenti con mezzi pubblici in tutte le principali localit |

Home away from Home
This was a great stay. Our family loved the hotel and its location. It is a small walk to the beach. The staff treat you with great respect and always find ways to make you comfortable. The owners are great people and you really feel like you are visiting family. They look out for you and recommend the right places for you. They do not try to profit off of you. I will go again and again to this hotel. The rooms were spotless. The entire hotel is very very clean. We were very pleased in this trip. |

The staff at the Hotel Matina were absolutely awesome. They were always there to be helpful. They assisted on activities, transportation, the language, etc. They arranged for our ferry pickup and the return to the airport. The room was immaculate and in typical Santorini style. The pool area was also spotless. The rooms were quiet and private. the fridge was great for keeping drinks cool. |

Hotel Matina - my home in Santorini & I love it!
Yes, that is how I feel about arriving at the Matina Hotel. This was my third visit over the years and as always it is a pleasure to see the Matina family again. This year my partner & I arrived during a very intensive heat wave hitting the island. Now a good majority of reviews have hit the nail on the nose talking about the great breakfast spread that Matina and the girls make in the morning, how Vasso is ready to help you with any concerns for reservations, and Mr. Sigala is your go-to guy for transfers from the port and airport. Matina is also meticulous about arranging your ferry tickets if you need them and having them in hand when you are ready to go. Vasso, Endy and niece Zoe have very sharp computer skills and are there to help if you need assistance with sharing news/photos with you family in emails or Facebook (believe me, Zoe is a pro at Facebook!) Mr. Sigala is a walking encyclopedia of information on fauna, food, and drink. He can recommend the most amazing places to eat...say Galina for seafood, or Metaxi Mas for the best saganaki on the island (if not in the world) and chances are, he'll go with you! Don't miss an opportunity to join him for a glass of wine up in Pyrgos at Santos Winery...it's a real treat for the soul & for the eyes at sunset. If you're thirsty, Maia and Dimitris can handle your requests at the pool bar and while they are mixing up your refreshment, do take a look at the beautiful artwork etched into the tiles scattered around the pool area...they are lovely and that added touch you so often experience at this family run Greek hotel...a gem on the island of Santorini! |

Absolutely beautiful
The Matina is everything you would want in a hotel, everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were all amazing and couldn't do enough to help us. And the location was perfect, set off the road to allow privacy and a very short walk into town. The pool area is beautiful and Dmitri is awesome :)
Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, it was gorgeous. |
