Loved this hotel
We had the most wonderful week at the Hotel Matina in September 2015. Vengeles and Matina, Jean Pierre and ALL the staff were absolutely superb from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. For our second week, we had booked to stay in Imeroviglia. When we arrived there, our welcome could not have been more different! Although the villa was beautiful, everything and everyone else was cold and clinical. We called the Hotel Matina and they had a room for us! They sent their driver to collect us the next morning! It was like going home. We spent another week in the glorious company of Vengeles and his family and staff. They could not do enough for their guests. Thank you all so much. We will definitely be back |

Loved the hotel and the people hosting us there!
The hotel was great and the hosts were helpful and fun! We had a great visit. I came to the isl with our college age daughter. We both loved the hotel and especially appreciated the warmth and great suggestions of the front desk-and owner. I would love to go back and highly recommend to others. |

Semaine du 14 avril 2015, 3 nuits passées dans un hôtel superbe, où l\'acceuil a été à la hauteur des prestations proposées sur le site lors de notre réservation. Très belle chambre, d\'une très grande propreté. Le personnel de l\'hôtel a été à nos soins durant tout le séjour : petits conseils pour profiter des plus beaux coins de l\'île... C\'était parfait ! Le petit déjeuner etait copieux et appétissant... Bref un hôtel que nous recommandons pour passer de super vacances !!! |

My mother and I stayed at the Hotel Matina for a week this summer, we had an absolutely WONDERFUL time. From the moment we arrived at the airport in Santorini and were picked up directly by Mr. Sigala (Vengelis), we didn\'t have a single bad moment. The owners Mrs.(Matina) and Mr. (Vengelis) Sigala and staff at the Hotel Matina are so welcoming and excel at creating a comfortable, extremely clean and elegant atmosphere. The hotel has an ideal location -- a short two minute walk from Kamari beach and right next to the local bus stop. It was my birthday when we arrived and the hotel had a surprise birthday celebration that evening for me complete with a home made cake from Mrs. Matina herself and wine from local Santorini winery \"Santos Wines\"! Anyone who wants a great vacation should come to the Hotel Matina. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Santorini next time. Also worth mentioning are the breakfast buffet serving international dishes as well as traditional greek pastries(homemade from Mrs. Matina herself and fresh picked grapes from the island each morning by Mr. Sigala) as well as the delicious food offered by the pool bar each day (also homemade--try the Santorini Salad!).A very special thanks as well to Korina and Vasso who were incredibly helpful for everything from welcoming us at the front desk to helping with all our questions on general information for excursions etc... and the rest of the staff. |

Hotel matina is more than GREAT......coming back sept. for a week.l love everything about kamari beach. Everyonevat the hotel makes you feel like family.....you must go to NO NAME STEAK HOUSE.....very good...lotd of fun......in fira go to LUCKYS....a small schwama stand...DYNOMITE.... |

Amazing , home like atmosphere has been created by Vasso and her family and their warmth and affection along with their extended support made our stay a truly memorable one.
Next time i know where to come and stay again as i am overwhelmed with their hospitality. |
